your candle comes with a pre-trimmed wick out of the box, so all you need to do is light it

upon first lighting your candle, allow it to burn for 3–4 hours to develop a full melted wax pool across the top. this will prevent “tunneling” and help ensure a clean burn for the life of your candle
extinguish the flame

when you’re ready to put the candle out, use a snuffer or a wick dipper to minimize smoke. allow the candle to resolidify before relighting
trim and relight

when you’re ready to relight your candle, trim the wick to approx 1/4 inch. relight and relax
